EPIPHANY ON THE WAY FROM THE HOSTEL TO THE COLLEGE

How often have you walked on a partly cloudy day with an umbrella to avoid getting drenched, while also secretly waiting for it to rain?
I have.
Anantapur (That's  the locality where I study at an institution which is a Temple of Learning known as the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning) is an extremely arid region receiving scanty rainfall. However, during the months of July and August, the dark and heavy clouds treat us and occasionally delude us.
It was on one such afternoon while walking back after lunch from hostel to the college that something hit me. I was holding an umbrella to protect me from the rain that would rush out of the clouds that were all set to burst. However, it was just an hour ago that I wished it rained. While I was justified holding an umbrella because I couldn't afford to get wet for college, I couldn't ignore the irony - the irony of wanting to get wet but still staying protected from getting wet.
At this instancem a lesson in faith struck me. Isn't this so much similar to how we look up to God to shower us with His grace, however in ways we define grace. We keep worrying, getting frustrated only because we are unable to see the big picture while still looking for it to arrive.
Worrying, in a nutshell is like holding an umbrella while wanting for it to rain.
